Key Responsibilities:
  • Security Planning: Develop and implement security plans to protect our computer data files and prevent unauthorized access or modification.
  • User Training: Train users on security best practices and promote a culture of security awareness to ensure system security and improve server and network efficiency.
  • Incident Response: Investigate and respond to security incidents, including security violations and programming changes.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor current reports of computer viruses and update virus protection systems as needed.
  • Security File Management: Modify computer security files to incorporate new software, correct errors, or change individual access status.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with establishment personnel and outside vendors to implement computer system plans.
  • Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments and execute tests of data processing systems to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's degree in computer programming or relevant field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in data security administration required.
  • Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and manage time, basic mentoring skills, knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations, agency rules, and the democratic political process, knowledge of computer development software.
