Procurement Specialist

Expert Staffing West is on the lookout for a Procurement Specialist to join a leading aerospace firm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identifies and selects products while negotiating purchasing terms with suppliers, encompassing pricing, profit margins, exclusivity agreements, and delivery schedules.
• Participates in procurement meetings.
• Supervises junior buyers.
• Manages order placements and ensures timely delivery.
• Creates product line documentation and knowledge resources.
• Establishes the open-to-buy strategy to inform inventory choices.
• Conducts market analysis and competitive research to uncover growth prospects.
• Engages with store personnel and the customer relationship management team to gather insights.
• Generates daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports to evaluate performance and identify areas for enhancement.
• Collaborates with marketing, sales, retail, and other merchandising teams to maximize sales potential.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in utilizing popular merchandise planning software.
• Strong understanding of retail mathematics and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Builds effective relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
• Quick to learn new skills.
