Job Title: Behavior Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavior Analyst to join our team at Apex Therapeutic Services. As a Behavior Analyst, you will be responsible for providing clinical supervision to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related disabilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Training: Demonstrate ability to supervise and train staff in appropriate programs and behavioral techniques used for training individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related disabilities.
  • Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical supervision of individuals with Autism at home and in the community.
  • Functional Behavior Assessment: Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) using brief functional analysis techniques.
  • Family Support: Work with families to teach them behavior analytic procedures and help them learn how to follow plans and objectives.
  • Documentation: Effectively and timely document using web-based systems, including IEP Direct.
  • Communication: Timely completion of all paperwork and phone contacts to caregivers, funding sources, outside agencies, and schools regarding treatment and development of treatment plans, goals, and objectives.
  • Meetings: Attend meetings for school districts.
Requirements:
  • Licensure: Must be a Licensed Behavior Analyst in New York State.
  • Education: A Master's Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of practical experience in ABA approach, including assessments and intervention of children, adolescents, and/or adults with behavioral concerns.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of assessment tools and data collection systems, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and Behavior Intervention Planning (BIP).
