Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Suite Server to join our team at Oak View Group. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests in the Suites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Service Area Setup: Assist in setting up food service areas within specific suites and club areas based on pre-orders.
  • Event Preparation: Ensure all assigned suites are set prior to events based on communication received of orders.
  • Event Execution: Responsible for organization and preparation of events in assigned locations.
  • Financial Management: Assist in closing out financials per event and ensure correct billing takes place.
  • Food Quality Control: Monitor and maintain food quality to ensure exceptional guest experience.
  • Company Policies: Follow all company policies and procedures, upholding safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring a positive atmosphere for team members and guests.
  • Alcohol Service: Monitor and enforce safe alcohol policies and procedures, including checking guests' IDs to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory control and product requisition fulfilling.
  • Menu Knowledge: Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments.
  • Guest Service: Responsible for supervising the service of beverages to guests, observing guests to respond to any additional requests, and ensuring suites have all necessary serving ware.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Attendance: Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure location equipment is operable and clean prior to start of event.
  • Intoxicated Guest Service: Recognize guests that are visibly intoxicated and take action to cut off alcohol to such individuals.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner.
  • Language Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Certifications: Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
  • Cash Handling: Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Math Skills: Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience working in a food and beverage or customer service role.
