Job Description

The Construction Laborer is responsible for supporting construction projects and assisting specialized workers to ensure timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment
  • Lift, carry, and hold building materials and tools
  • Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel
  • Set up and take down ladders and scaffolding
  • Operate various tools and equipment
  • Work collaboratively with other workers
  • Perform general labor tasks
  • Improve skills and work towards promotion

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Pass background check and drug screening
  • Knowledge of manual tools and basic math skills
  • Ability to understand and follow work orders
  • Physical stamina to lift 50-80 lbs and work in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of construction or labor experience

Working Environment:

Construction Laborers work outdoors in various weather conditions, exposed to noise, smells, and extreme temperatures.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Ability to stand, walk, sit, handle, reach outward, reach above shoulder, crawl, squat/Kneel, bend, push, and pull frequently.

Ability to use upper and lower extremities to move or transport 25 to 80 pounds.

Ability to withstand physical demands on the body, including being in a stationary and/or standing position most of the day.

Ability to express and exchange ideas using the spoken word.

Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.

Sense of Sound (answering phone, fire alarms, horns)
