Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Hygiene Specialist to join our Environmental Health and Safety team at Romac Industries. As an Industrial Hygiene Specialist, you will play a critical role in evaluating hazards and developing controls to protect worker health, while implementing programs to reduce exposure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct exposure assessments to determine if workers are at risk.
  • Recommend ways to control or eliminate exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Design and implement industrial hygiene programs.
  • Train workers to protect themselves from exposure to hazards.
  • Record data and compile it into statistical analyses and reports to share with upper management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
  • Certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist is desired.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial hygiene or occupational health and safety.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, such as OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and local safety and health laws.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment techniques and experience in developing risk mitigation strategies.
