Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
  • Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
  • Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, and reconciling accounts.
  • Authorize payments, assign account numbers, and request disbursements.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Oversee credit card activities and communicate with management to obtain receipts and enter expenses in the system.
  • Set up wires, ACHs, and transfers between accounts when needed.
