Multimedia Journalist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Multimedia Journalist to join our team at Fort Myers Broadcasting Co. in Fort Myers, Florida.

About the Job:

This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in broadcast journalism, videography, and non-linear editing. The ideal candidate will have excellent storytelling skills, be able to work well under pressure, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Research and develop story ideas for news broadcasts, online content, and social media platforms.
• Write, shoot, and edit engaging video stories for various mediums.
• Collaborate with producers, anchors, and other journalists to create compelling content.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current events and trends in the industry.
• Develop and implement creative solutions to meet the needs of our audience.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in broadcast journalism, videography, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant software.
• Excellent writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
