Position Overview
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide clinical leadership in all facets of patient care within an outpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. **Clinical Competency**: Demonstrate proficiency by applying evidence-based practices throughout the nursing process, including:
- **Assessment**: Gather comprehensive data and perform nursing assessments using appropriate standards and tools.
- **Planning**: Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring cultural sensitivity and continuity of care.
- **Implementation**: Deliver direct patient care aligned with established nursing plans, ensuring safety and quality throughout.
- **Evaluation**: Assess the effectiveness of care plans and modify them based on patient progress and feedback.

2. **Patient and Family Education**: Identify learning needs and provide tailored education to patients and families, utilizing clear language and practical examples.

3. **Professional Accountability**: Continuously evaluate your nursing practice against professional standards and maintain competency through ongoing education and reflection.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
- One year of experience as a registered nurse or completion of a comparable residency program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.

Additional Skills
- Basic computer proficiency and mathematical skills.
- Familiarity with patient equipment such as vital signs monitors and defibrillators.
