Key Responsibilities
  • Order Confirmation and Billing
    • Verify patient orders and confirmations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Process billing and revenue recognition for patient services.
  • Patient Paperwork and Documentation
    • Review and verify patient paperwork and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
    • Ensure all necessary forms are signed and dated appropriately.
  • Service Maintenance and Scheduling
    • Process service maintenance tickets and schedule future service and maintenance for rental equipment.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Regulations
    • Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, Managed Care, PHO's and Advocate contract procedures and guidelines.
  • Customer Service and Support
    • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers, resolving delivery, equipment, documentation and/or reimbursement issues.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis
    • Run, collect and tabulate data and submit reports to management as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma
    • 3-4 years of office experience
    • Understanding of third-party payors, including Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance companies
    • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
    • Home care experience preferred
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong data entry ability
    • Strong organization skills
    • Strong detail orientation
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
