We are on the lookout for a dynamic and professional Pre-K Lead Educator. In this role, you will oversee classroom management and provide essential care, hygiene, and positive guidance for the children. As a Lead Educator, your responsibilities will include designing and executing engaging activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development, while offering resources for exploration and active play.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting classroom environment.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including daily reports and attendance records.
  • Participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent gatherings as needed.
  • Supervise and support children during various activities.
  • Provide guidance to children facing social, academic, or adjustment challenges.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans and schedules tailored to the classroom needs.
  • Create instructional materials and aids for engaging classroom activities.
  • Assist children during meal times and ensure proper clean-up.
  • Ensure all classroom and outdoor equipment is well-maintained and safe for use.
  • Organize the classroom into distinct interest areas for effective learning.
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of other staff members to maintain an orderly classroom.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and keep developmental profiles for each child.
  • Schedule and conduct regular parent-teacher conferences.
  • Maintain classroom bulletin boards and family information displays.
  • Adhere to medication schedules and other health-related protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must fulfill all state requirements for this position.
  • Previous teaching experience in an accredited early childhood setting is advantageous.
  • Possess a friendly demeanor and an engaging personality.
  • Exhibit professionalism and reliability.
  • Ability to interact effectively with children of varying ages and skill levels, as well as with parents and colleagues.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds consistently throughout the workday.
