Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist children during all activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Counsel children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise, providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and prepare instructional aids and materials for classroom activities, promoting learning and development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, ensuring a safe and healthy space for children.
  • Assist with meal times and clean-up, promoting good hygiene and social skills.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested.
  • Help prepare and implement classroom lesson plans, programs, and schedules, ensuring a smooth and efficient learning environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the classroom teacher and the academy as a whole.

Qualifications:

  • Meet all state requirements for this position.
  • Be able to work full-time, Monday-Friday.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess a pleasant and friendly demeanor, with an outgoing personality.
  • Be highly professional and dependable, with excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels, as well as with parents, coworkers, and management.
  • Be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday.
