About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee our main distribution facility in Acton, MA.

This is a critical role that involves managing our warehouse staff with a hands-on approach, ensuring quality control of all inventory, and maintaining accurate paperwork for incoming and outgoing inventory.

As a key member of our team, you will also be responsible for managing labor costs, assisting with hiring, conducting cycle counts, and supporting company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage warehouse staff effectively, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
  • Maintain high-quality inventory standards, identifying and addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Oversee accurate documentation of inventory movements, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize labor costs, aligning with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Operations to identify and recruit top talent for open positions.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Serve as a champion for company policies, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in a warehouse setting, preferably in the furniture industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a focus on achieving business objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with the ability to adapt to new technology platforms.
  • A proven track record of managing and directing diverse staff, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
