About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Lead Activities Aide to join our team at Providence ElderPlace. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and directing a broad program of recreational services for our participants.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement therapeutic group activities, discussions, and programs that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of our participants.
  • Conduct participant assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for success.
  • Provide education and support to participants and their families on topics such as health and wellness, nutrition, and stress management.
  • Work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy, Creative Arts Therapies, or a related field.
  • Experience leading therapeutic group activities, discussions, and programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
