Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to support our client in the defense sector. This is an administrative role dedicated to assisting the Quality Manager and team by setting up reports, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Quality Standards: Assist in developing standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a strong technical background and ability to read blueprints, including GD&T, mics, and calipers.
  • Quality Management: Participate in creating and implementing methods for handling discrepant material and assessing cost and responsibility.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards, including AS9100 and IS14001.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Create and maintain documentation such as ballooned drawings, part specifications, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement activities and data collection.
  • Quality Meetings and Support: Participate in Quality meetings and track open issues.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with office supply management and special visitor arrangements.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a quality or administrative role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Excel at an advanced level, with experience in creating complex spreadsheets and reports.
  • Physical Demands: Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and reach; may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
