We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to support our client in the defense sector. Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Quality Standards: Assist in developing standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a strong technical background and ability to read blueprints, including GD&T, mics, and calipers.
- Quality Management: Participate in creating and implementing methods for handling discrepant material and assessing cost and responsibility.
- Compliance and Regulatory: Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards, including AS9100 and IS14001.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Create and maintain documentation such as ballooned drawings, part specifications, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement activities and data collection.
- Quality Meetings and Support: Participate in Quality meetings and track open issues.
- Administrative Support: Assist with office supply management and special visitor arrangements.
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a quality or administrative role.
- Skills: Proficiency in Excel at an advanced level, with experience in creating complex spreadsheets and reports.
- Physical Demands: Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and reach; may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
