Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Service Engineer Intern to join our team at Beckman Life Sciences. As a Field Service Engineer Intern, you will work closely with our experienced Field Service Engineers to support the maintenance, installation, and repair of Beckman Coulter products at customer sites used for medical research and laboratory work.

Responsibilities
  • Work on a project under the direction of a mentor and in collaboration with other highly talented field service engineers.
  • Document your findings and present your work to the entire team at the end of the summer.
  • Conduct on-site work to service medical devices.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree in mechanical, electrical, biological science, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Hold and maintain a valid Driver's License; meet Vendor Credentialing requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs. along with ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at the waist.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
  • Outstanding documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest or experience in the life sciences domain.
