Veterinary Technician

We are seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our dynamic team in the Emergency and Critical Care department at BluePearl Pet Hospital. As a Veterinary Technician in this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional care and comfort to critically ill or injured patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients, utilizing anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
- Triage emergency cases, obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
- Perform digital radiography using proper technique, including patient positioning.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of normal patient vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
- Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting veterinarians to changes and issues.
- Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
- Calculate medical math, administering medications via appropriate routes and duration.
- Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
- Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
- Mentor and train colleagues, demonstrating patience and empathy when addressing client concerns.
