Customer Service Associate Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Associate to join our Petco team. As a Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting pet care and nutrition, and driving sales in our pet care locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Be knowledgeable about pet-related products and services, including nutrition, care, and wellness.
  • Utilize selling behaviors to identify and solve for customer needs, both today and in the future.
  • Contribute to a safe environment by maintaining safety protocols and reporting any incidents or concerns.
  • Be a part of a collaborative culture, working with team members to create a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in providing public information in animal nutrition, care, and wellness.
  • Knowledge of pet-related events, resources, and costs within the community.
  • Familiarity with pet grooming salon programs, dog training classes, and photography and vaccination schedules.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and standing for long periods of time.
