Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Southwest Washington Regional Surgery Center. As a relief status Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgery center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in the scrub role during surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of Standard of Performance, including correct body alignment and positioning of patients.
  • Provide a well-organized sterile area and observe sterile technique at all times.
  • Pass instrumentation and suture, and assist in the case picking or assembling instrument sets in central sterile as necessary.
  • Put away supplies in the OR, ensuring package integrity, product sterility, and overall orderliness of the area.
Requirements
  • Specialized training of 13 to 24 months; diploma from an accredited Surgical Tech Program preferred, but not required.
  • WA State Surgical Technologist Registration required.
  • Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
  • Experience with total joints HIGHLY desirable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of scrubbing experience.
  • Knowledge of sterile technique; operating room procedures and equipment, ability to exercise good judgment and discipline.
Work Environment

As a Surgical Technologist at Southwest Washington Regional Surgery Center, you will work in a fast-paced, multi-specialty ASC environment, performing over 11,000 cases annually. You will be part of a highly skilled team of nurses and clinical staff who provide clinical excellence, supporting patients and surgeons in all phases of the surgical process.
