NBCUniversal is seeking a highly detail-oriented Editorial Operations Associate to support the expansion and growth of its commerce content and shopping recommendations.
This role will report to the Manager of Special Projects and will be responsible for mastering our processes and workflows, and helping inform their evolution based on performance and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities:- Build and maintain shopping articles in our Content Management System (CMS)
- Identify and update evergreen content on a timely basis to meet the demands of the news cycle
- Participate in regular editorial, product, and operations meetings
- Collaborate with the social and engagement teams to create and promote shoppable content
- Optimize new and existing posts based on affiliate partnerships and commerce opportunities
- Communicate regularly with the product tech team about CMS developments
- Organize the editorial calendar based on revised deadlines and participate in content lookahead planning meetings
This is a project-based position with an estimated duration of 6 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables are completed.
Requirements:
- Understanding of CMS and editorial workflows
- Some media or editorial experience
- Commerce editorial experience a plus
- Work experience for a news brand a plus
Skills:
- Knowledge of affiliate marketing platforms, including Skimlinks, Amazon, and Rakuten
- Proficiency in data analysis and actionable results
- Proficiency with general CMS practices
- Experience with editorial project management
- Attention to detail and ability to make quick decisions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams
