Position Overview
Weatherford is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team. This role involves working within a supportive and inclusive environment that thrives on fast-paced and progressive dynamics. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and assessing products manufactured by the company to ensure compliance with quality standards, identifying quality-related issues, and recommending improvements. Additionally, this position will assist in enhancing supplier performance and aid in selecting suppliers that meet specified criteria. The Quality Control Inspector will report directly to the Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring ethical conduct and compliance with the company's Security, Compliance & HSE policies, relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Prioritize Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and environmental protection, ensuring no risk is posed to employees, processes, customers, or communities.
  • Pursue continuous improvement in Health, Safety, Security, and environmental protection, considering responsible care, process vulnerabilities, and best business practices to exceed customer expectations.

Quality Assurance

  • Familiarize yourself with the company's Quality policies and actively participate in the compliance and enhancement of Weatherford's Management System.
  • Maintain service quality as a primary focus while working across all business areas and consistently seek opportunities for improvement.

Operational Duties

  • Conduct checks and tests on product samples.
  • Inspect products sourced from suppliers and maintain records of supplier performance.
  • Carry out inspection activities for all components and assemblies.
  • Perform dimensional and visual in-process inspections according to controlled drawings and applicable specifications.
  • Conduct receiving inspections for all jobs executed within the facility.
  • Ensure work assignments are executed to the highest quality standards.
  • Utilize established inspection tools and techniques for product evaluation.
  • Adhere to Weatherford's Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Management Systems.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Execute various other duties as assigned by the supervisor within the job's physical constraints.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an inspection role within a similar manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required:

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and API standards.
  • Familiarity with thread inspection.
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings, operate measuring equipment, and demonstrate basic mathematical skills.

Preferred:

  • Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Good knowledge of the purchasing process in a manufacturing plant within a multinational corporation.
