Job Title: Accounts Receivable Agent

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Accounts Receivable Agent to join our team at Expeditors. As an AR Agent, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely payment from our clients and maintaining a positive cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and resolve past due invoices through proactive communication with clients via email or phone.
  • Identify and resolve problem accounts in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to our cash flow.
  • Update our Accounts Receivable system with detailed collection notes and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to effectively resolve issues and collect payments within terms.
  • Provide weekly reporting to upper management on slow-paying clients and aged invoices.
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly AR reports and work with payment centers to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with internal operations to resolve billing issues and ensure compliance with client billing requirements.
  • Research and resolve all credits on accounts within two months of credit date, when applicable.
  • Ensure clients are paying within terms and identify slow-paying clients for follow-up action.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of office or accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Intermediate level Excel skills, with ability to create custom reports and use macros, v-lookup, pivot tables, and concatenate functions.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with ability to relate to customers and internal employees at all levels.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize a demanding workload.
