Job Title: Retail Front End Supervisor

At Ocean State Job Lot, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Front End Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our front-end services, including customer service, cash handling, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Manage cash handling and inventory procedures, including counting cash, handling returns, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Supervise and train sales associates and front-end staff to ensure they are meeting company standards and policies.
  • Coordinate and schedule front-end staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Monitor and maintain the front-end area, including the sales floor, service desk, and cash registers.
  • Communicate effectively with store management and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months supervisory and customer service experience required.
  • Experience in a related retail environment preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position that requires working in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. The position involves standing, walking, and moving throughout the store, as well as using a cash register and other equipment.
