Job Summary

TransForce is seeking a skilled CDL Driver to join our team. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for delivering materials to job sites, inspecting and maintaining your truck, and reporting any shortages or claims to your supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a truck with a capacity of over three tons, safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect and maintain your truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Report any shortages or claims to your supervisor.
  • Assist in loading and storing materials.
  • Deliver and unload materials to customers' satisfaction.
  • Complete daily equipment pre-inspection.
  • Record all merchandise that is returned by truck.
  • Follow guidelines established by the Department of Transportation.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Relay messages sent by customers while on the job.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).
  • Minimum experience: 6 months CDL experience preferred.
  • Special skills: Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees, and supervisors.
  • Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems.
  • Maintains current operator's license and meets company driver qualification requirements.
  • Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.
  • Physical demands include stooping, bending, twisting, and throwing. Working in a variety of climates and environmental conditions. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs or more on a repetitive basis.
