We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology to join our team at the University of Alabama. This is a nine-month, non-tenure-earning position with a contract of three years, eligible for renewal.
About the DepartmentThe Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Technology Studies at the University of Alabama is dedicated to developing professionals with the expertise needed to advance the intellectual and social conditions of all learners. Our faculty's research, teaching, and service is widely recognized through their securement of external funding, national awards, professional organization leadership, established centers and offices, and outreach to the local, state, and national communities.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and teach graduate courses in Instructional Technology (MA, PhD, Certificate) and the Nurse Educator program
- Develop and teach undergraduate service courses in Instructional Technology
- Fulfill service roles in the program, department, and college
- Provide academic advisement for master's and doctoral level students
- Serve on Instructional Technology dissertation committees
- Earned Doctorate in Instructional Technology or related field
- Ability to teach graduate courses in the Instructional Technology program
- Evidence of teaching excellence
- Evidence of service within university settings and relevant professional organizations
- Experience advising and mentoring graduate students
- Ability to support program administration and coordination
