Job Summary
Sentara is seeking a skilled Customer Service Representative/Scheduler to join our team. As a key member of our Clinical Access Centralized Scheduling Department, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls and providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls to address eligibility, claim, and payment issues or to schedule patient appointments and referrals.
- Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.
- Responsible for all areas of customer service as it pertains to research and resolution of telephone inquiries.
- Schedule a high volume of procedures for patients in a computerized scheduling system.
- Accountable for accurately and completely obtaining required information in the scheduling process.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a hospital or physician's office setting.
- High volume call center experience and Epic EMR experience are preferred.
- Data entry skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
