LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Job Overview

As a **Licensed Practical Nurse** at BrightSpring Health Services, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care tailored to individual needs. Your role involves conducting thorough patient assessments, documenting medical histories, and monitoring vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized, one-on-one care while respecting the dignity and independence of each client.
  • Monitor and report vital statistics, promptly addressing any irregularities to the supervising healthcare team.
  • Administer medications, perform feeding, and provide necessary care in accordance with established care plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists, to implement comprehensive care routines.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, reporting any potential health risks and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all nursing actions and communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals regarding patient progress.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and medications to ensure availability for patient care.
  • Address all patient needs as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring quality care is consistently delivered.
  • Document and report incidents involving patients, ensuring thorough and timely completion of incident reports.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of medical equipment and report any malfunctions for prompt repair.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall patient care and organizational goals.


Qualifications

  • Completion of post-secondary education relevant to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Understanding of individual service plans and client rights.
  • Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and effective communication.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of patient care policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Familiarity with recognizing symptoms and signs of various medical conditions.
  • Willingness to travel between facilities as needed.
