Blending Production Specialist

Eustis Florida, United States FFP Full time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of the Blending Production Specialist involves supporting the blending, packaging, and labeling of final products while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

This position requires the ability to interpret product formula cards, confirm and document lot numbers and product codes, and accurately measure ingredient weights using scales before adding them to tanks.

It is essential to complete production checklists for each product thoroughly. The specialist will also be responsible for collecting samples of finished blends for Quality Assurance (QA) testing and documenting data on formula cards.

Once QA has verified that the blend meets specifications, the specialist will package the material into approved containers, ensuring the correct weight is achieved for each package.

Additionally, the specialist will load pallets with finished products, wrapping and labeling each pallet appropriately. All materials must be stored in designated areas.

Every time a blend is produced, the specialist must sanitize the tank and associated equipment used for packaging.

The role involves handling cleaning chemicals, necessitating the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during chemical handling and throughout all operational areas.

Compliance with sanitation protocols and checks is mandatory during the entire process, and any unsafe conditions or processes requiring assistance should be reported to management. This position entails physical demands, including lifting and dumping bags of material weighing up to 60 pounds.

Specialists will be required to stand for extended periods in a non-climate-controlled environment that may be noisy, warm, and humid.

Climbing ladders, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling materials regularly, as well as using basic hand tools and handling clamps and other small processing utensils, are essential functions of this role.
