Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of data from various sources into usable formats for analysis and reporting.
- Implement and manage data storage solutions, including databases, data lakes, and distributed file systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Integrate data from diverse sources, including internal databases, external APIs, and third-party data providers, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- Optimize data systems performance for speed, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, leveraging caching, indexing, partitioning, and other techniques.
- Implement data security controls and governance policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor data systems for performance, availability, and reliability, proactively identifying and addressing issues to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
- Document data systems architecture, processes, and best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong background in data engineering, with hands-on experience in designing, building, and optimizing data systems infrastructure.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or Apache Beam.
- Experience with distributed computing technologies and concepts, including Hadoop, MapReduce, and distributed file systems (e.g., HDFS).
- Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and NewSQL databases, as well as cloud-based data storage solutions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, with a keen attention to detail and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
