We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Manager to join our team at GTT, LLC. As a Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing top-tier suppliers, maintaining awareness of industry and market trends, and leading the development of category strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Manage top-tier suppliers and maintain awareness of industry and market trends through ongoing research.
  • Category Strategy Development: Lead the development of category strategies of low to medium complexity.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Lead cross-functional teams through strategic sourcing processes and develop/execute negotiation strategies for low to medium-complexity spending categories.
  • Performance Data Analysis: Develop and review performance data with suppliers and work with suppliers to drive ongoing value discovery.
  • Market Research: Conduct and document market research and supplier risk analysis to verify the financial health of existing and potential suppliers.
  • Category Planning: Create and maintain category plans and develop mutually beneficial strategic relationships with tier 1 and 2 suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in the supply chain or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's Degree in Business Administration or a job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 6 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Certifications: ISM-Institute for Supply Management CPSM-Certified Professional in Supply Management certification or LSS-Lean Six Sigma Certification.
