Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer/Senior Automation Engineer to join our team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automation systems, including control systems, instrumentation, and digital assets.
  • Ensure compliance with GSK guidelines/standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Manage and maintain automation systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Develop and implement digital transformation strategies to improve manufacturing operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of automation or digital operations experience with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or life sciences environment.
  • Strong understanding of automation systems, including control systems, instrumentation, and digital assets.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post Graduate Degree.
  • Demonstrated effective management of capital project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Detailed understanding of Design, Installation, and Commissioning / Qualification / Validation of new pharmaceutical equipment and/or utilities.
