Compensation:
  • The hourly wage for this role ranges from $16.00 for entry-level candidates to $22.50 for those with more experience.
  • Compensation is distributed over a 12-month period.
Additional Benefits:

We offer a robust benefits package that includes significant coverage for the base medical plan, with subsidies available for spouses/domestic partners and children. Notable benefits include:
  • Paid Family Leave: Eligible employees may receive up to 8 weeks of paid leave for childbirth or adoption, contingent on tenure and caregiver designation.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: Staff may apply for reimbursement of up to 50% of tuition for qualifying degree programs, with a maximum of $5,250 per year, subject to managerial discretion and budget constraints.
  • Employer-Paid Mental/Behavioral Health Services: Includes 5 in-person counseling sessions annually, unlimited 24/7 telephonic counseling, and additional work-life services at no cost.
Other benefits encompass dental and vision insurance, disability and life insurance, parenting support, flexible spending accounts, generous vacation time, referral bonuses, professional development opportunities, and a 403(b) retirement plan. A relocation allowance may also be available to assist with moving costs, if applicable.

What You Bring:

Qualifications:
  • Education: A minimum of 48 college credit hours is required; a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in educational settings or working with children is essential.
  • Licenses or Certifications: A willingness to pursue a Special Education teaching certification is highly preferred.
    • Co-Teachers with a bachelor's degree can enroll in the IDEA Special Education Certification Program (ISECP), an alternative certification initiative.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to effectively instruct students and manage classroom behavior.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various situations within the educational environment.
What You'll Do:

Responsibilities:
  • Support the educational and social development of students under the guidance of lead teachers.
  • Assist in the execution of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
  • Provide individualized support to students, ensuring their full participation in classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with specialists, including speech therapists and social workers.
  • Help maintain accurate student records alongside classroom teachers.
  • Support students facing emotional or behavioral challenges in developing appropriate social skills.
  • Assist with daily living activities, which may include feeding and mobility support in specialized units.
  • At certain locations, accompany students on school transportation as needed.
