Job Overview

This role is NOT remote.

As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the Inventory Control team to ensure that all department goals are achieved. You will be responsible for all Inventory Control management activities, including full verification of all stock items to be supplied to investigator sites, their safe storage and handling within the Inventory Control area, and the continuity of the supply to QLAB departments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collect all deliveries from loading bay, log, QC, receipt in, store and distribute as required
  2. Maintain stock on shelves in a tidy manner, executing stock rotation in appropriate date order
  3. Record all stock movements and stock issues using Inventory control system
  4. Ensure accurate data entry
  5. Operate all Inventory Control systems and other appropriate systems to facilitate stock processing duties
  6. Maintain close links with study PMs and Set Up managers to ensure stock items used in studies adhere to short dated procedures and advise on any material shortages
  7. Ensure Pre-assembly area is stocked and pick and issue internal material requisitions for all areas
  8. Monthly, ensure all cycle-counts are completed and stock histories for each stock area are completed
  9. Liaise with internal customers, suppliers, and the Purchasing and Finance departments on all stock related issues
  10. Such as price variances, non-receipts of goods, supplier issues, item documentation such as MSDS and any certificates that might be requested
  11. Coordinate action plans
  12. Lead and coordinate materials team members
  13. Conduct daily/weekly reporting
  14. Provide inventory dispositions
  15. Review Inventory system and Monitor stock levels to ensure the minimum stock level is not breached, order stock as required via the system
  16. Order stock in a timely manner taking account of lead times
  17. Authorize all purchase requisition orders
  18. Check that they are processed and that ordered items arrive as required
  19. Follow up on Purchase Orders to obtain delivery timescales
  20. Progress outstanding orders and escalate to supervisor for guidance
  21. Set up and monitor call off orders as required
  22. Review historical inventory analysis to review and update minimum and re-order stock levels in agreement with the line manager
  23. Maintain close links with study PMs and Set Up managers to ensure essential stock item availability for study start-ups
  24. Source and procure new stock items for new study launches as and when required following the new item sourcing procedure
  25. Submit Inventory item creation requests, new vendor requests and item maintenance requests
  26. Manage LIMS system item creation working with Global project teams to ensure timely item creation and maintenance
  27. Work closely with the CTM, Lab, purchasing and all other depts as required on all stock related issues to include pricing updates, stock levels, delivery delays and any other CTM, Lab stock issues that arise
  28. Prepare and log interlab shipments for other Q2 sites ordering stock as required and providing Logistics the details of the shipments along with any related documentation required
  29. Review stock system for non-moving stock or expired stock and follow discard procedures
  30. Manage, coach and train Inventory Control Associates within the department in accordance with organizations policies and applicable regulations, ensuring they are trained as per the department training matrix
  31. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work appraising performance and guiding professional development
  32. Rewarding and disciplining employees
  33. Closely monitor the returned kits procedure is being followed and take responsibility in ensuring all returned kits are logged and dealt with promptly
  34. Ensure the Housekeeping within the warehouse area is always kept tidy and presentable while being responsible for ensuring all stock is stored and labelled correctly
  35. Produce monthly metrics to measure department performance
  36. Recruit staff members as required working with HR and recruitment
  37. Deputize for other staff members as and when required
  38. Perform any other duties as required as directly by superiors
  39. Follow and enforce department SOPs
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

3-4 years relevant experience including 1 year in a leadership capacity and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Good spread sheet skills.

Good organizational, communications, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to drive fork trucks and secure the proper certification.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
