Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Providence Portland Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our patients through the childbirth process.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care to patients undergoing labor and delivery, including assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, and respond to any changes or complications.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician, and document patient responses and outcomes.
  • Support patients and their families through the childbirth process, providing emotional support and education on postpartum care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse License.
  • Current National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • Current National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics certification within 90 days of hire.
  • At least one year of nursing experience, preferably in Labor and Delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current National Certification in Labor and Delivery nursing.
