About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our Cardiac Rhythm Management team at Abbott Laboratories. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production area, optimizing existing processes, and meeting production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of equipment, machines, and tools to ensure optimal production levels.
  • Identify and correct equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields, or product quality issues.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Research and Development teams to integrate new products or processes into our manufacturing area.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Prepare and present reports, publications, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Lead project teams and mentor junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
