Position Overview:


Coolray Heating and Cooling Tennessee is in search of skilled HVAC Service Technicians to become part of our dedicated team, which is composed of innovative and enthusiastic individuals committed to providing exceptional customer service on a daily basis.

Our technicians play a crucial role in assisting customers by informing them about available product options, executing the removal and installation of HVAC systems, and fitting additional accessories as necessary, all while ensuring high-quality workmanship in compliance with local and national regulations.

This position also involves mentoring and guiding both apprentice and entry-level technicians.

Qualifications:
Are You the Right Fit?

Minimum of 2 years of experience with a solid understanding of refrigeration principles and the ability to diagnose and replace HVAC components, including Air Conditioners, Heat Pumps, Furnaces, Air Handlers, Duct Systems, Thermostats, and Filtration Systems.

Type II EPA Certification is required.

Strong customer service skills with a commitment to exceeding client expectations.

Essential Tools:
Basic Hand Tools - wrenches, screwdrivers, sheet metal tools, and hammers.

Required Testing Equipment:
Refrigerant Gauges, Manometer, Magnahelic, Carbon Monoxide Detector, Psychrometer, and Micron Gauge.

Familiarity with local codes is necessary.

Ability to work independently and efficiently, ensuring tasks are completed correctly on the first attempt.

Capability to navigate tight spaces and climb ladders; work in attics, garages, crawl spaces, and on rooftops.

Key Responsibilities:
What Will You Be Doing?

Replace HVAC systems, including but not limited to: ductwork, attic and vertical splits (gas or heat pump), and rooftop package units (gas or heat pump).

Maintain the company vehicle in good working condition.

Ensure proper inventory of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.

Travel to job sites and coordinate with dispatch to maintain the schedule and communicate any delays to customers.

Design duct systems for optimal comfort and efficiency.

Engage with homeowners to identify concerns or interests regarding their HVAC systems, potentially leading to accessory sales or system replacements.

Understand the company's pricing structure and generate accurate customer invoices and paperwork at job sites, including processing credit card payments electronically.

Participate in training opportunities provided by the company on customer service and the latest industry technologies.

Assist and mentor apprentices and entry-level technicians.
