Job Summary:
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented undergraduate students to serve as Research Assistants for the Bridge Grant in the School of Agricultural Sciences. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing hydroponics systems, budgeting, marketing, and developing paper marketing materials for an urban agriculture project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage hydroponics systems and ensure optimal plant growth
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to generate revenue for community groups
- Assist in budgeting and financial management of the project
- Develop paper marketing materials to promote the project
- Participate in community visits and outreach activities
Requirements:
- Must be an undergraduate student in a relevant field (Plant Science, Agribusiness, Agricultural Education)
- Must provide own transportation
- Must be punctual and able to work well in a team
Working Conditions:
The Research Assistants will work on a part-time basis, approximately 20 hours per week, for a duration of 9 academic months and 3 summer months. The project will involve working in a team environment and collaborating with community groups.
