Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Housekeeping Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Supervise: Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping Department to ensure service standards are followed.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Handle guest concerns and react quickly to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse group of colleagues with varying personalities while building engagement and a sense of value for the team members.
  • Inspections and Reporting: Complete daily inspections, exercising good judgment and strong intuition to anticipate the needs of the guest, as well as the cleanliness of the hotel's public and heart of house areas.
  • Inventory and Purchasing: Complete necessary inventory and weekly purchasing following budget guidelines.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health & safety initiatives.
  • Adhere to Policies: Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives, follow all safety and sanitation policies.

Requirements

  • Warm and Caring Personality: Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience an asset.
  • Guest Focus: Ability to naturally engage with guests and show empathy; have a genuine care and concern for both the well-being of our guests and fellow team members.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimum supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Constant standing and walking throughout shift, frequent lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs, frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
