Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - Electrical Specialist to join our team at Island Palm Communities. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance functions in our communities, including rental units, office buildings, and residential areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Systems and Components: Repair, troubleshoot, and replace electric systems and components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Service Calls and Maintenance: Respond to service calls, complete Change of Occupancy (COM) work, and perform other property maintenance requirements, including cleaning, painting, and maintenance of grounds and parking lots.
  • Trade-Specific Skills: Demonstrate basic competency in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades, and utilize tools and equipment necessary to perform daily job duties.
  • Communication and Documentation: Update work order status, complete and submit required paperwork, and maintain accurate records of activities and results.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with supervisors and other team members to achieve goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required; 1-3 years of work-related experience required; 3-5 years of experience in the electrical field preferred.
  • License and Certification: Current vehicle license in good standing and meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work; utilize a mobile device, including applications, email, and internet; and communicate effectively with clients, visitors, and other organization staff.
