About the Role

Michael Foods, Inc. is a leading food processing and distribution company seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Norwalk, Iowa. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, utilizing CMMS systems and technical expertise to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and optimize production workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements
  • AA degree in a related field or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in industrial operations, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with experience working with CMMS systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
