About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Michael Foods, Inc. in Norwalk, Iowa. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing process and production maintenance throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize CMMS to support the maintenance function, including review, execution, and documentation of scheduled and unscheduled work.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment, including gearboxes, mechanical drives, and variable speed applications.
  • Diagnose and repair refrigeration, steam, and pneumatic systems, including cylinders, valves, manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration, and lubrication devices.
  • Perform preventative and precision maintenance programs to ensure machine reliability and installation of facility capital investments.
  • Comply with safety work rules and reinforce safety as a core value.
Requirements
  • AA degree in a related field or equivalent technical knowledge or degree/certification from a trade school.
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities, or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with minimal supervision.
  • Highly effective multi-tasker with a get-it-done, can-do attitude and a self-starter.
