Muskegon, Michigan, United States Cytiva Full time
Join a transformative journey in health technology

At Cytiva, we are at the cutting edge of delivering innovative solutions that enhance human health. Our remarkable clients engage in life-saving initiatives, from essential biological research to the creation of groundbreaking vaccines, novel medications, and advanced cell and gene therapies.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to grow personally and professionally, tackling significant challenges alongside dedicated colleagues who prioritize care for one another, our clients, and their patients. With a presence in over 40 countries, Cytiva offers a dynamic environment where every day presents a chance to learn and develop your career and skills over the long term.

As a key member of the Biotechnology division at Danaher, we unite skilled technical expertise to forge the next generation of transformative therapeutics.

In the role of Technical Support Specialist at Cytiva's new facility, you will play a vital part in the establishment of our resin production site. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, you will collaborate with users and business units on-site, providing support for both individual and shared IT services. This includes assistance for applications, client systems, and equipment within validated laboratory, warehouse, and manufacturing settings. As a support specialist, you will be integrated into a local IT team while also liaising with our central teams and our site in Sweden, which operates similar environments and applications.

During the initial phase of your employment, you will engage in a part-time assignment focused on the hands-on implementation of IT services at the site.

Your work will primarily take place on-site, with limited opportunities for remote work. Most tasks will be conducted during standard office hours, though there may be occasions requiring work during off-hours or public holidays.

Being part of the broader IT community opens numerous avenues for growth, allowing you to specialize further or explore new challenges and roles within the organization. Many of our associates have transitioned from localized services to key global positions within the company over time.

In this position, you will have the chance to:
  • Address incidents and problems, providing support for associates both on-site and remotely by managing support tickets in ServiceNow.
  • Oversee service requests, including the staging and provisioning of IT equipment, while supporting the local team.
  • Deliver support services for personal IT, shared IT, applications, and validated environments in laboratories, warehouses, and manufacturing settings.
  • Engage with global IT teams and colleagues at our Swedish site.
  • Effectively communicate technical information, both verbally and in writing, to audiences at all organizational levels.
The essential qualifications for this role include:
  • A minimum of several years of documented experience in providing support services.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in client environments, particularly with the Microsoft suite, including Windows, Office, Teams, antivirus, and software distribution.
  • Experience working within ITIL frameworks, managing incidents and service requests in a structured support system.
  • A high level of energy and enthusiasm to ensure the best possible experience for our users.
  • A strong team player who collaborates effectively with others to resolve issues.
It would be advantageous if you also have experience in:
  • Asset management, ServiceNow, and network fundamentals.
  • Voice over IP and telecommunications.
  • Providing support in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and laboratory environments, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory.
