Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for exams, operating equipment, and producing high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures/studies
  • Position patients and select proper transducers and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures
  • Adjust factors to attain the appropriate images and ensure safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients
  • Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information, and images
  • Maintain records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system
Requirements:
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months
