Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures/studies. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform procedures/studies, accurately differentiating between normal and pathologic findings.
  • Review patient medical records, obtain necessary clinical information, and compare requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy.
  • Position patients, select proper transducers, and adjust technical factors to attain accurate images.
  • Maintain patient safety, mental, and physical comfort during procedures.
  • Accurately identify and label images, maintaining records in accordance with regulatory agencies.
  • Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information, and communicate findings to physicians.
Requirements:
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 3 months.
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 3 months.
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) within 3 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
Education and Experience:

Advanced training beyond High School, including completion of an accredited or approved program in Sonography. No experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and twist throughout the workday. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
