Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Ross Stores, Inc. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for supervising all areas of the store and ensuring that Company standards and best practices are consistently met.



Responsibilities

  • Supervise and motivate all non-exempt Associates to provide excellent customer service and meet sales goals
  • Responsible for payroll administration, including daily punch edits, Associate scheduling compliance, Sunday payroll transmission, and Payroll reporting as needed
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing non-exempt Associates
  • Ensure compliance with all State, Local, and Federal regulations
  • Manage and monitor actual expenditures to be within budget
  • Control payroll hours to plan and adjust to current business trends
  • Maintain adherence to Company safety policies and ensure the safety of Associates and Customers
  • Execute Customer service programs and Merchandise Presentation programs through Associate training and program supervision
  • Supervise and coach Retail Associates in providing efficient and friendly service at the registers, Customer Service desk, fitting rooms, sales floor, etc.


Requirements

  • Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment
  • Must demonstrate the ability to supervise, motivate, and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels
  • Maintain high-quality Customer service
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
  • Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store
  • Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies
  • Direct supervision of all non-exempt Associates

Base Pay Range

The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location.
