About the Job

SAC Health is seeking a skilled Credentialing Coordinator to join our team. As a critical component of our healthcare operations, you will be responsible for managing credentialing and privileging processes for medical staff and providers.

Your duties will include maintaining accurate database information, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and performing routine queries to identify and address expired items. You will also collaborate with health plans, physicians, and administration to facilitate seamless communication and efficient enrollment processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain systems for processing initial and re-appointment applications for credentialing, billing, and privileging of assigned medical staff and providers.
  2. Verify and update accurate data in databases and ensure timely submissions to relevant departments, agencies, boards, and committees.
  3. Maintain current knowledge of legal, state, federal, TJC, NCQA, and other regulatory guidelines for appointment/reappointment processes.
  4. Prepare and distribute required reports to departments, agencies, boards, and committees as necessary; prepare board presentations and meeting follow-up notifications.
  5. Monitor and manage expired items, notify, and process suspensions or reinstatements according to SAC Health policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required; BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of healthcare credentialing experience.
  • CPMSM or CPCS certification preferred.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $65,000 - $85,000 per annum.
