Position Overview
The Adult Mobile Crisis Intervention (AMCI) Specialist delivers immediate support to adults experiencing crises. This role involves assessing individual needs to create a comprehensive treatment plan that prioritizes safety and effective crisis resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of adults in crisis, focusing on their safety and immediate needs.
  • Collaborate with individuals in crisis to develop treatment plans that incorporate community-based health and social services.
  • Engage with the individual and their support system to enhance their strengths and coping mechanisms for re-engagement in necessary services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and interventions in line with organizational standards, ensuring proper billing and payment processes.
  • Facilitate access to acute inpatient care when necessary, providing brief treatment and support until community services are available.

Qualifications
We prefer candidates with an Independent License (LICSW, LMHC) and a minimum of three years of experience in a mental health environment. A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.

Skills and Competencies
  • Proven ability to assess and provide emergency services for adults, including crisis de-escalation techniques that ensure safety for all parties involved.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk assessment related to acute psychiatric conditions and familiarity with various social and behavioral health services.
  • Strong professional documentation skills, organizational abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
