Respiratory Therapist PEDS NICU Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Medical City Dallas. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our pediatric patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and deliver respiratory care services to pediatric patients in the NICU
  • Perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy
  • Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
Requirements:
  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP), or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT), or Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (LCRT)
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist, or State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician
