Job Summary:

The State of Iowa is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Division of Compliance, you will be responsible for initiating, overseeing, implementing, and managing projects intended to maintain and improve operations within the Division. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and project management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, collect, track, monitor, and analyze operational plan and performance measures within the Division of Compliance.
  • Identify needs for operational improvement within the Division of Compliance based on performance measures. Research strategies for addressing operations and provide recommendations to Division of Compliance leadership.
  • Develop processes, policies, procedures, and visual resources to address operational needs.
  • Assist with budget tracking within the Division of Compliance.
  • Initiate, oversee, implement, and manage projects intended to maintain and improve operations within the Division of Compliance.
  • Develop and distribute status reports to inform leadership, key team members, and applicable stakeholders of project status.
  • Develop and manage contracts that impact the entire Department and those related to the Division of Compliance.

Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in any field, and experience equal to three years of full-time work in project management; management analysis; data science; business systems analysis; or professional-level program administration, development, or operations.
  • Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes six months of full-time work as a Management Analyst 2 or two and a half years as a Management Analyst 1.
