Job Title: Merchandising Team Lead

This is a unique opportunity to join the Merchandising Team at Odom Corporation as a Merchandising Team Lead. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales Team and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in on-the-job training to learn Odom procedures and job duties.
  • Develop and sell multiple sales routes in all classes of trade for both On and Off Premise accounts.
  • Attend Odom and Supplier meetings as required.
  • Visit customer locations daily to merchandise and maintain products through stocking, rotating, and building displays.
  • Examine stock to ensure quality specifications and take pride in products being distributed.
  • Stock and rotate products from back stock stored at customer locations with care and diligence.
  • Perform essential job duties efficiently, accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.
  • Accurately document the number of products received or distributed or set aside due to damage or "out-of-date".
  • Ensure a safe and clean working area during shift by discarding trash and empty boxes prior to leaving each customer account.
Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license, good driving record, proof of insurance, and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must have a working knowledge of the beverage industry or grocery retail experience.
  • Must be self-motivated, a self-starter, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized, with a strong ability to work quickly and accurately while handling competing priorities.
Physical Demands:
  • Operate a pallet jack and hand cart to transport products safely.
  • Constant lifting/moving/pushing/pulling of 27-55 pounds and occasional lifting/moving/pushing/pulling of up to 170 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, lift from floor to waist and from shoulders to overhead, use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or other controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
Work Environment:
  • Work in a moderate to high noise level environment due to outside environmental noises.
